We went on our annual vacation to Lake Powell June 25-30th! We stopped at a view point so I could take some pictures.
We stayed at a different Airbnb in Page. It was called the Atrium House. It was spacious and had enough room for all eight of us. I enjoyed all the indoor plants they had.
They had this cool electric game table. Everyone had fun playing on it.
The next morning we launched our boat from the Stateline Marina. We couldn't launch at Antelope Point because the water levels were so low this year. We appreciated Parker's help in launching the boat and getting it out everyday.
Hayden took this picture of Kev and I as we were driving up the chop. Supposedly, there is a floating barge that sells soda and ice cream along the way. We had bad luck and never found it.
Parker took this fun selfie of all of us out on the lake.
We saw lots of bighorn sheep running around on the red rock. \
Kev took us to a new spot where anther "toilet bowl" is forming. It is in Last Chance Bay.
We also went and found some more water caves.
We all got out of the boat to swim and cool off.
Addy and Halle went out on the knee boards.
I was glad that Hayden wanted to ride the knee boards with Parker.
I captured this great picture of Hayden wiping out. You can see just his feet sticking up from behind the wave. It was a great first day at Powell!
The next day some of us went to Horseshoe Bend. It had been many years since we had last been. It is no longer a hike through red sand. They put in an actual smooth trail and a railing. It felt more like a walk this time.
We walked up this hill to enjoy the unobstructed view.
Parker thought it would be funny to have me take a picture of him pouring out his water bottle. We are in a drought!
That afternoon Kenna and Bryson arrived! It had been a couple years since they have come to Powell with us. We gave Kenna her birthday gifts. I knew she would love the mermaid tail. I told her that all of her H2o dreams would come true.
Kenna and Bryson gave Kev this "Juan Deer" shirt for his birthday. He wore it to the restaurant that night. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Page.
We had fun hanging out in the nice backyard that night. They even had a TV out there and a hot tub.
The next day we headed back to the Lake. Kenna was helping Addy with her sunscreen. I love that she still looks after her younger sister!
Bryson and Parker wanted to stop and do some cliff jumping.
Hayden learned how to drive the boat for the first time.
Kenna tried out her mermaid tail. She did a pretty good dive. She said it was harder to swim with it on. Everyone took a turn trying out the mermaid tail. Even the boys!
The kids had fun board wake boarding. Parker makes it look easy out there.
Halle was touching the water and doing 360's.
We stopped in Rock Creek Bay. Hayden and fun using his squirt gun to get mussels off the wall.
The colors were beautiful in the bay. Halle and Parker swam out to this rock shoal.
Parker quietly swam up and surprised his sisters and Bryson.
Kenna had the creative idea to recreate a Titanic scene and post it on Tik Tok. It is the scene where Rose lets go of Jack and there are dead bodies in the water. I filmed it while they acted it out. Hayden went all out as a dead man floating. When Bryson saw his performance he said, "That man right there deserves an Oscar"!! It got so many view and comments. Several people said that they wanted to be a part of our family. Thanks Kenna for making us famous!
That night a Navajo women came and made is authentic Navajo tacos. We had fun talking with her as she made the dinner.
We just provided some of the condiments. They were the best Navajo tacos I have ever had! We will be doing this again.
This was our last day on the lake. We had fun hanging out in Last Chance Bay.
Halle swam over to this little cave to have her H2O moment. All of my girls have were obsessed with that show when they were younger.
Kev had the fun idea to bring both our tubes this time.
It was fun to have all of the kid out there together. It got a little wild with both tubes and there were some collisions.
I was brave and went out there with them for awhile. That's good I am smiling in this picture. Not long after we collided. Hayden and Bryson went flying and when our tube lifted I flew out. I was thankful that I didn't get hurt.
Addy and Hayden had fun out there with the tubes all to themselves. They even switched tubes mid ride.
We explored up this side canyon on our way to Antelope point. It was beautiful!
We ate dinner at the marina that night. It was nice just to get off the water and eat. We had eaten there years ago. I enjoyed my fish tacos!
On the way back Bryson cut his knee. Hayden came to the rescue with his band aids.
We had time after dinner so we went up Antelope Creek. It was scenic and the water was like glass in there.
We pulled up to the marina as the sun was setting.
The moon looked orange that night from the smoke from nearby fires. It was another memorable vacation with our family!
