We feel so blessed!!!

A couple of months ago we found out that ATK the company Kev works for would be cutting back 6% of their company. That means about 300 people would be losing their jobs. Kev's boss had a meeting with them and told them even people from their group of twenty would have to go. So we have spent the last two months with the weight of this on our shoulders. It is one of those things that you think will never happen to you. We were really worried about how we would survive if he did lose his job. We knew that we would have great medical expenses with the baby we are having. We have done a lot of fasting and praying as a family. Our kids have been praying that Daddy could keep his job. Well, today was the big day and Kev called to tell us that he still has a job! We feel so blessed and know that Heavenly Father is very aware of us and our needs. We know that all the prayers helped more than anything. We have learned a lot going through this experience. We have learned how important it is to be prepared. We have some money in savings and some food stored up but not enough to live off of for a long period of time. We know now why the prophet has been asking us to work on our food storage. We are going to take that more seriously from now on.

Good times.....

I thought I would post some pictures of what we have been up to lately. We went up to my Dads condo in Park City for the day. They have a heated indoor pool that we always enjoy. We took a picture of all the kids together. My twin niece and nephew went swimming for the first time. They are almost four months old now and are so adorable! Hailey is the fourth little girl in the family to wear that yellow swimsuit.

Kev has had the snowmobiles at our house for the last couple of weeks. It is a magnet for all the little boys in the neighborhood. They all want to come and sit on them and pretend to drive. They think Parker is pretty cool because he has snowmobiles in his driveway.

Mckenna lost her front tooth on Sunday. She had been yanking on it for awhile now. I told her she needed to wait to pull it out. I wanted to get her picture taken before she lost all her front teeth. I made the mistake of giving her apples and carrots that night at dinner. She had just finished eating her dinner and looked up at me when I noticed something was not right. I shouted where is your tooth Kenna. She was surprised as well. We looked everywhere and have come to the conclusion that she swallowed her tooth. She wrote a letter to the tooth fairy and explained what had happened to her tooth. The tooth fairy did not let her down. It seems Mckenna always has a funny story to go with each tooth she has lost. We all had a good laugh over that one!

I decided to make some sugar cookies for family night. The girls were excited to put on their aprons and help. They both were good helpers and the cookies turned out delicious. It was a fun night for all of us.

We are having.....a BOY!!!!!!

Today we went in for our ultrasound and found out that we are having another little boy!! It makes four out of four times that I have gotten what I wanted. It was great to have Kev and all the kids there at my ultrasound. When we found out Parker shouted, "I was right, I knew it was a brother!". He had been sure it was a little boy right from the start. He can't wait to meet his little brother! In this picture below you can really tell that this baby is all boy!! It will be great to have another boy in the family. We will now have two boys and two girls. All the kids were so excited to see the baby on the screen. When Mckenna heard the heartbeat she said, "the baby is blowing bubbles". It was great to see that everything looks good. The heart sounded good and he is measuring just how he should for 21 weeks. Now we just have to wait another 19 weeks to meet this little guy. When Parker was a baby we affectionately called him chubbs. So this little guy will be called chubbs the second.

My HUGE disappointment!!

I just got a call from my doctors office saying that they need to reschedule my ultrasound! AHHHH! They wait up until two days before and then call me! I am so frustrated right now. I have waited twenty weeks to find out what we are having and now have to wait some more. The suspense is going to kill me. I have been counting down the days until Thursday and now I have to wait even longer. The sad thing is that my sister is in town from N.Y. and was going to come to the ultrasound too. I also had a shopping trip planned with my cousin. I was going to have so much fun buying clothes for our new baby. I am still going shopping and will just have to buy a boy outfit and a girl outfit. So, for all of you who were awaiting our news you will have to wait until Thursday March 19th.

Halle's second birthday!!!

Our little Halle turned two on Monday!! She has grown up so much and is our little sweetheart!

We had a party that night for her at our house! She was so excited to open up all her presents and had a hard time waiting for everyone to arrive! She had been birthday shopping with me and surprised me when she pointed out what the wrapped presents were. I thought she would forget what they were.

We gave Halle a princess dress up for one of her presents. She tried it on and is twirling in this picture. She is definitely all girl. We love you Halle and are so glad your our little girl!
