This is Halloween!

We started off the festivities by carving pumpkins. The boys carved too even though they weren't in this picture.

Addy had the cutest preschool program.  My favorite song they sang was about a little witch named Rose. It went perfectly with Addy's costume.  I could hear her little voice louder than all the other kids.  She really loves to sing.  She also loves her teacher Mrs. Salvania,  

I was able to help with Hayden's class party.  I read the kids Halloween stories.  It was an easy job for me this time.

I watched the kids school parade with my bestie Brekke.  I almost missed Parker as he went by.  He was dressed up in his blue morph suit and it was hard to tell it was him.

Mckenna's make up was a little scary.  She dressed up like this for her friends costume party a few days before.  She got the award for scariest costume.  I always love seeing what she comes up with every year.

I enjoy dressing up just as much as the kids.  I was Jackie Kennedy for the night.  I wore my Grandma Rosen's dress from the 60's.  Trick or treating in high heels was not a good idea.

Addy, Halle, and I went trick or treating with Brekke and her kids.  We had a great time.  The best house of the night was the Wilkins.  They were dressed up like elves with their Christmas lights on.  They even handed out candy canes!

Parker went trick or treating with his friend Whit.  I made them wear glow sticks when it got dark so cars would see them.

Parker outdid himself this year and came home with 15 POUNDS OF CANDY!  I know in this picture he looks possessive but he was really nice and shared some with all of us.

Once upon a time...

Princess Addy had a royal birthday celebration with her friends!  I read them a book called, "The very Fairy Princess."

Hayden decided to make his entrance dressed up as Snow White.  I think he was feeling a little left out.  It was not so funny to me at the time but looking back now it is funny.

We played the game where we passed around Snow White's poison apple and and if you had it when the music stopped you had to fall down into a deep sleep.  The girls loved the falling into a deep sleep part.

Everyone got a chance to sing "Let it go" with Elsa.  It was Addy's turn to shine!

The girls also learned how to dance like a princess.  Halle taught them how to twirl, dance, and leap.

Then the princesses had a chance to make their own princess wand.

We had cupcakes and sang to Addy.  I love her smiling face just reaching above the counter.

We finished up by opening presents.  She got some fun gifts from her friends.

She even got a Belle doll that matched her dress up.  It was a magical day for our little princess!

Addy's 5th birthday!

Our Addy baby turned five years old on Monday October 24, 2016.  She is not so little anymore but I continually remind her that she will always be my baby.

The kids had the day off from school since it was Fall Break.  Parker was nice and played games with Addy to keep her happy and entertained.

I really appreciated it since I was busy most of the day making her cake.  It was a Candyland theme since that is her favorite game right now.  She had fun playing with her friend Nayla most of the afternoon.

She was really excited to open up all her presents.  Cute cousin Elle was watching.  She had her birthday about a week earlier.

We gave Addy a book about fairies.  Our family friend Cindy wrote the book.  She signed Addy's copy and wrote, "If you believe in fairies clap three times."  I enjoyed reading it with her before she went to bed that night.  We are so glad Addy is a part of our family.  She is our little sunshine and brightens up our family.

Fall Break in Washington!

We drove to Heather and Dan's home in Pasco Washington for Fall break.  We made a stop in Twin Falls Idaho to see Shoshone Falls.  The water was low but they were still beautiful to see. It also was a good opportunity to get out of the car for a little while.

The kids loved hanging out with their cousins!  The girls shouting for joy because they get to play with cute little Bailey!  She was a little shy at first but warmed up to us.  At the end she was giving us all hugs.

We got to go with Austin on his field trip to The Country Mercantile pumpkin patch.  We took a picture with all the cousins.

We took a wagon ride out into the pumpkin patch.

We stopped at the Mercantile to get some samples and warm up.  We tried salsas, fruit, bread, and chocolate to name a few.

Mckenna was in chocolate heaven and wanted her picture with the truffles.  We bought some caramel apples to take home with us.

Later that night was Ethan's Halloween parade at school.  Everyone got dressed up except Mckenna.  They even let all our kids join in their parade.

We went in the school for all the carnival games.  Addy was very happy when she got a Bingo.  There were many fun prizes to choose from.  She ended up picking out a flashlight.

The highlight of the night was this giant blowup slide.  They even took Bailey down a couple times.

Here comes Santa!  The kids had so much fun that they didn't want to leave at the end of the night.

The next morning we went to Ethan and Austin's soccer games.  It was fun seeing them play and getting to cheer them on.

Kev spent some time kicking around the soccer ball with the kids.

In our down time we hung out at the house, watched movies, and played games.  We taught Mckenna and Parker how to play Rummikub which was Grandma Foster's favorite.

We went to our favorite park in Richland by the Columbia River.  It looked beautiful with all the fall colors.  There were even geese running around.  Heather, Kev, and I talked while the kids ran around.

We met up with Dan at Dickey's for lunch.  He owns two stores in the area and just broke ground on a third.  The kids loved being able to order whatever they wanted and it was on Uncle Dan.

We also got a tour after lunch.  It was fun to see the behind the scenes action.  

Uncle Dan stamped all the kids forehead with his paid stamp.  They got a kick out of that.  Parker said, "I feel like a VIP" as we were leaving the restaurant.  It was a fun and memorable few days in Washington!
