A night at the Grammys

 

Addy had her dance pictures taken in March. This was her World Dance costume. 

Addy had her dance performance on May 29th! The theme this year was "A night at The Grammys". 

She danced to "Out of Africa" which is a Shakira song. It was my favorite dance of hers that night. 

She took a Hip Hop 4 dance class this year. They performed to Snoop Dogg Remix. 

This picture is of her in her Lyrical dance costume. It was my favorite costume on her!

They danced to Whitney Houston's song, "I will always love you". 

Addy danced in the finale and then took a bow. We love to see her perform on the stage!

They had this fun red carpet that you could take pictures with. 

This was all the family that was there to cheer her on that night! 

Grandma and Grandpa brought her flowers. 

We are proud of Addy and how hard she works at dance every year. It is fun to see her improve and perform!

We went and got treats after at Kneaders. 

Memorial Day

 

On Memorial Day we went to visit the family graves in Taylorsville. I enjoy hearing the stories about our pioneer ancestors. 

At the Salt Lake Cemetery, we saw a woman putting flowers on the grave of Mahala. We are both related to her. I love that she brings flowers from her garden to put on the graves. 

Hailey was climbing the tree and Mike helped lift her down. 

My Uncle Wright and Aunt Janett met us at the graves at Larkin. My Dad has been letting his hair go white. 

I was happy that my cousin Kate came! It was fun catching up with her. 

We took a group picture at my great grandparents grave. We also went to eat at Olive Garden after. I love our family traditions!

We met Kev's parents at the cemetery in Sandy. We always visit Grandpa and Grandma Foster's and Uncle Brians grave. 

My beautiful mom would have turned 66 today. She has been in my thoughts all month. My grief has been heavier than usual. It sometimes feels unfair to not have her here with me. Keeping an eternal perspective is what helps me through. I know she is always watching over me. I love her more than I can adequately express with words. 

We went boating at Utah Lake that night. We love it when Ollie can come with us!

Parker tried on one of the wet suits that we got. It was a little big on him but helped keep him warm in the water. 

He is getting good at wake boarding. 

Addy had fun knee boarding. She had been asking all month long if we could go to the lake. 

Ollie even went swimming for awhile. I love this picture of Parker with his arms around him. 

Halle's graduations!

 

Halle graduated from Mountainland Technology College on May 13th!

I decorated the house and bought her graduation balloons. 

The graduation was held at UVU. She received her Emergency Medical Technician degree!

We are proud of how hard she has worked! We can't wait to see all that she accomplishes as a EMT! It was nice to have Parker and my Dad with us at her graduation. 

Halle's friend Georgia also graduated from MTech. Kenna made Halle the Monster Energy drink Lei that is around her neck. Halle loved it and felt so loved by her sister!

Parker lifted Halle up for a picture. He is such a sweet and supportive big brother to her. 

We took some pictures of Halle's friends she met while going to school. It was nice to meet some of them. 

We went and celebrated at Mobettahs after the graduation. It was fun that Andrew was able to join us. 

Halle graduated from Westlake High School on May 22nd! She gave the hang loose sign as she graduated. 

Her graduation was at the BYU Marriott Center. It was packed. There were 998 students in her graduating class. It was fun cheering for Halle and all of her friends. 

We are happy with all that Halle has achieved. We admire her Grit, dedication, determination, and kindness. 

She was happy to have Hayden and Addy at her graduation. 

It made Halle happy to have Andrew there. They have been dating for several months now. 

Loni and Dad gave Halle a Hawaiian lei for graduation. We loved having them there.

It was nice of Heather's family to make the long drive to be there for Halle. 

I took this picture of Halle and Mason at their Kindergarten graduation. 

I knew that we needed to recreate it for their high school graduation. It is crazy how much they have grown up! 

I'm happy that Sienna and Halle have been friends all these years. 

It was fun seeing Kathleen and Eva. They were there to see her niece Natalie graduate. 

It was good to see Georgia again and get another graduation picture together. 

This picture of Halle and Sienna arm wrestling and Maddi cheering them on makes me smile.

This is one of my favorite pics from the day. Sienna was taking a selfie of the three of them. 

Halle chose to eat at The Cheesecake Factory. My Dad went over and got us some tables. It was nice to eat on the covered patio. 

Halle got the raspberry lemon cheesecake for dessert. She shared with all of us. 

I'm incredibly proud of Halle and all that she accomplished in high school! Her junior year was the hardest. She was dealing with chronic pain and illness. She missed most of that school year. I admire her determination and perseverance to get all her school work done! I'm happy that she got to graduate with her friends! We love you Halle!
