Dance performance

 

Addy had her dance pictures taken in March. I loved her costume for World Dance!

This was her costume for her Contemporary class.

Addy had her performance on Tuesday May 28th. She danced to the song Hawaiian Roller Coaster. They also had Poi balls that they danced with. Grandma Loni commented that Great Grandma would be so proud of how well Addy does the Hula. 

Her second dance was to the music from the movies Brave. I always enjoy watching Addy perform and seeing her progress each year. 

It was good to have Dad and Loni there to see her perform. 

We had an extra ticket and Addy's best friend Nayla was able to come too. 

Addy has great flexibility and form. 

I can't get over how grown up Addy looks in this picture. In just a few months she will be a teenager. 

We went and got dessert afterwards at Waffle Luv. 

Memorial Day

 

We were in Provo on Sunday May 26th for my Aunt and Uncles missionary homecoming. They served in Guam for the last 18 months. It was good to hear about their mission experiences and catch up with cousins. It also would have been mom's 65th birthday. We took some flowers up to the cemetery. It was nice being there with Mike and sharing some memories of mom. 

On Memorial Day we went and visited the family graves in Salt Lake. Family search sent me an email that day telling me that I have 72 ancestors buried in that cemetery. 

It was nice having Dad and Loni back to enjoy this tradition with us. 

My Dad even brought my great Uncle Wrights flight journal. Parker and Brady were both interested since they want to be pilots. 

We were able to meet up with Kev's parents in Sandy. It was good to visit Grandpa and Grandma Fosters grave site. 

Mike and Amy recently got a new boat. They invited us to go out with them that afternoon. Kev took the girls and met them a Utah Lake. 

It was only Halle's second time wake surfing and she did great!

Kev also enjoyed wake surfing. It was nice of them to take us out on their boat!

Addy's graduation

 

Addy graduated from sixth grade on Thursday May 23rd! 

She was asked to speak at her graduation. She had never spoken in front of a large audience before. I was impressed with how hard she worked on her speech. She talked about the school theme this year which was "Choose Kindness", she shared memories from sixth grade, and serving on student council. We admire her courage in doing something out of her comfort zone! 

She is last of our five kids to graduate from elementary school. 

I loved that all of her siblings were there to support and cheer her on!

We love our Addy and are happy with all that she has accomplished this year!

It was nice to have her grandparents there. We missed having them with us the last 18 months while they were serving their mission. 

It was nice of Grandma Sue to make the drive to be there. She was having bad neck pain that morning. 

I had to get a picture of Mrs. Allred with both Addy and Kenna. She was Addy's teacher this year and she taught Mckenna on Student Council many years ago. She told me that she has been teaching at the school since it opened 13 years ago.  She is an amazing teacher and I know she has impacted the lives of many kids over the years. 

It was fun to take some pictures with Addy's friend Payton. 

We took this one with her friend Maddi. We couldn't find some of her other friends to take pictures with. 

It was memorable running into Mrs. Salvania. She was one of Addy's preschool teachers. 

Addy went back to class because they were having a pizza party with the sixth grade. The other kids wanted to take pictures with the teachers that they remembered. We took a picture with Kathy Loveridge who has worked in the office since the school opened. 

Hayden wanted to find his first grade teacher Mrs. Chamberlain. It was the sweetest reunion!

She was so happy to see him and hear that he is going to high school in the Fall. She told him to stop by and visit her anytime. 

As we were walking down the hall to leave, I saw Addy's drawing displayed on the wall. 

I love that all of my kids have attended this elementary school! It feels like the end of an era now that Addy has graduated. We will always have positive memories of Thunder Ridge!!

Mother's Day

 

Kenna and Bryson came home for Mother's Day weekend! I loved having all of my kids home with me for a couple of days.  Some of the highlights were; hot tubbing, playing party Tetris, and watching home videos. 

It was nice having Kenna and Bryson at church with us. We only had sacrament meeting since our ward had split the week before. Kenna and I enjoyed the Mother's Day treats and visiting with the other women in my ward. Kenna asked me if it was alright if we did breakfast after church and I was good with that. She made me her famous egg with avocado on toast. The other kids helped too. I also enjoyed all the thoughtful gifts that they gave me. Kev made a nice dinner of smoked ribs and mac n cheese. It was nice just spending the day with our family! I love my kids and love being their mom! I learn from them daily. I love seeing them grown and progress. They bring joy and happiness to my life. 

May highlights

 

Kev went and picked up the horses on May 4th and took them up to the cabin. Hayden and Ollie went with him. I love this picture of them driving around in the gator!

We celebrated Mike's 40th birthday on Sunday May 5th. It also happened to be Cinco De Mayo and we had a delicious Mexican dinner. I typed up a 40 reasons why we love Mike for part of his gift. I can't believe my younger brother is 40 now! 

Addy had her class presentation on Germany on May 7th. Kev and I were both able to be there to here her speak. She was able to share some of the cool souvenirs that Kev brought back from him mission. We are proud of Addy!

I took this picture of Ollie on May 8th. He loves to go on the back deck to hang out. He comes and stares at me through the window when he wants to come back in. I love his cute face!

Aspyn and Dallin got married on May 9th. I was Apyn's YW leader many years ago! She was a gorgeous bride and it was fun talking with her. We love every chance we get to hang out with our old neighbors!

Kev and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary on Saturday May 18th! It was nice to get away for the weekend. We stayed the night at an Airbnb by snow college. The next day we went and did sealings at the temple. We were even sealed for another couple with the last name of Foster. I loved being back at the temple where we got married. It brought back amazing memories from our wedding day! We ate at Tucanos' on our way home. We can't get enough of the grilled pineapple and garlic sirloin. 

Parker took me to lunch on May 23rd. It was his Mother's day gift to me. We ate at Maria Bonita. He had never been before and enjoyed the food and the giant Pina colada. I love spending time with Parker!
