much to be thankful for...

This past week has reminded me that I have much to be grateful for. 1. I am thankful for my kids and the chance I have to be their mother. I love to see these happy faces smiling up at me.

2. I am thankful for a hardworking husband. On Monday he defended his Thesis at BYU. He did an awesome job on his presentation and passed. I am very thankful that he is officially done with school now.

3. I am grateful for the Thanksgiving holiday. I always enjoy celebrating with all the family. My Grandma is always so sweet to host the party at her house.

4. I am grateful for this little guy. I enjoyed watching him shovel down his dinner. It was his first time eating thanksgiving dinner. He came down with a high fever and cough not long after this picture was taken. Which brings me to the next thing that I am grateful for..

5. The doctor's who are on call over the Thanksgiving holiday. The doctor told us that Hayden had the croup. He was able to give us a steroid to help with the cough. They also gave him medicine to help him breathe better.

6. I am grateful for laughter. Halle had fun putting stickers all over cousin Scott's face. He was a good sport and just sat there while the kids put them on. We all cracked up watching this one.

7. I am thankful for my little sister. It has been so much fun having her live close by the last few months.

8. I am thankful to live close to Park City. We always have fun visiting there. My Dad invited us to his condo for the day. Halle had fun warming up in the hot tub. It is fun being able to go swimming even in the winter. Halle was grabbing icicles as she sat in the hot tub.

9. I am glad to have fun family traditions. We went to pick out a Christmas ornament for our tree. Parker helped choose a Santa in a hot air balloon. I love visiting this little shop every year. I have such good memories of coming here with my Mom when I was younger.

10. I am so thankful that Christmas is just a month away. It has been great getting the house all decorated for Christmas. We decorated the tree tonight as we listened to Christmas carols. I love the holiday season.

Harry Potter fans!!!

We went out to dinner with some of our friends last night. We decided to eat at Red Robin since it was close to the theater. We always enjoy their bottomless steak fries.

We were so excited to see Harry Potter and the deathly hallows! I really enjoyed it! I was glad that it followed the book so closely. My favorite part of the movie is when they break into the ministry of magic. One of our friends had a hard time following the movie because he had never read the books. I agree that it would be helpful to read the book before you watch this movie. I can't wait another seven months until the final movie!

Veterans Day!!

Mckenna had her third grade program tonight. They decided to sing patriotic songs in honor of Veterans day. I really liked this quote they had up on the wall. My Grandfather served in the Navy. I am grateful to him for the sacrifices that he made for our country and our family.

The kids just before the program began. Mckenna wanted to bring Hayden up on the stage. She is a proud big sister who wanted to show off her little brother.

They waved streamers and flags as they sang. Sorry about the glowing red eyes. My camera wouldn't fix the problem. I really need to learn how to use photo shop.

They held up signs and took turns telling how they are grateful for our country.

My favorite song was one called American tears. They had a slideshow with photos of important American moments. It really got me thinking how much I appreciate our country and the freedoms we enjoy.

At the end of the program they had all the veterans in the audience stand up so we could applaud them.
