Parker our M.V.P!!!

The last couple of months Parker has been playing T-ball. It has been his first experience playing sports. Kev played T-ball and thought it would be fun to sign him up.

He had a great time playing and getting to know the rules of the game. We really had fun taking him to practices and cheering him on at the games.

Here is a picture of Parker making a home run! The helmets were so big on these little kids that when they ran they could barely see where they were going.

I got this great picture of Parker goofing off on second base. He can be such a goof for the camera sometimes. You will notice that Kev is also in the picture. He helped out with the team a lot. He was an honorary assistant coach.

Here is a picture of Parker running for the ball. I like this one because it shows that he has good form.

I had to include this one because it was so funny! This is Parker all ready to catch the ball with his hat pulled down and his mouth wide open.

Here is a picture of him up at bat. He usually hit the ball on the very first swing. I was impressed with his coordination. He really improved a lot over the last couple of months.

On the last day his coach had an awards ceremony for the kids. They each got a medal and certificate. Parker is really proud of his medal. He wants to where it everywhere and show everyone. It was a fun experience for our whole family. We have him and Kenna signed up for soccer in the fall. Way to go Parker!

Our Mckenna is seven!!

Our little girl turned seven this last Friday! She has grown up so much lately. I have been thinking a lot about when she was born seven years ago. It probably has to do with the fact that I am eight months pregnant again at this time of year. Our new baby boy will have his birthday about exactly a month after Kenna's if all goes according to plan.
Mckenna has been begging me to let her get her ears pierced. I thought it would be a fun thing to do on her seventh birthday. She was so brave and didn't even flinch when they were pierced. She was too excited to be scared.

We had Mckenna's birthday party in our backyard this year. We are so glad that we now have a finished backyard to enjoy. The weather was perfect! It was actually the only day all week long that it didn't rain.

I made Mckenna a "flip flop" cake this year. I had some trouble with the cake to begin with but it turned out better once I decorated.

We live in such a windy area that the candles wouldn't stay lite. So Kev lighted them one by one and she quickly tried to blow it out before the wind did.

Kev stayed up late the night before her party putting up the trampoline. He wanted to surprise her for her birthday. The kids had so much fun jumping at her party.

The kids always enjoy helping Dad open his presents!!

Kev was really happy that we got him a lawn trimmer. He takes great pride in taking care of our lawn and has gone without one for awhile. We had stopped and looked at the one at Lowes for the past few months. So I knew exactly what one he wanted.


We went to dinner at his favorite restaurant called Goodwood. We invited some of the family to help us celebrate. Mckenna and Kev both got birthday desserts since their birthdays are only a couple days apart.

Cody, Lisa, and their kids also came to help us celebrate. They gave Kev one of his favorite gifts. They brought him back a jar of sand & t-shirt from Lake Powell. Lake Powell is his favorite place and just having the jar of sand made him so happy.

Mckenna's spring performance!!

Mckenna had her spring dance performance last Wednesday. It is always fun to get her ready for the show. She loves getting to wear makeup and get her hair done.

They performed The Lion King. Mckenna's dance was called shadowlands.

I really enjoy seeing her perform. It has been fun to watch how much she has improved this last year in dance.

Kayley's baptism!!

My little sister Kayley was baptized on Saturday June 6th. It was a special day for our family. It was great to have all my brothers and sisters together. We all participated in the program.

Kayley was actually born a couple weeks after I got married. It has been fun to watch her grow up. It is cool because she is only one year older than my daughter Mckenna. They are best friends and we tease them that they fight just like sisters. We are so glad that they have eachother. Mckenna can't wait until next year when she will get baptized.

Air force week!!

On Friday Kev took off half day from work so we could go to the air show!! We had such a fun afternoon being together and watching the planes.

Kev's cousin Tim works at Hill Air force base. He was able to get us into the base and awesome seats up close. We watched the preview show which was just for employees of the base. Thanks Tim for inviting us and arranging everything.

It was kind of nice that it was overcast and not that hot. It only rained for a few minutes during the afternoon.


This was Halles reaction to the air show. She thought that the planes were too loud. It was amazing the vibrations and noise you feel after they fly that close to you. We actually had ear plugs for the kids so it wasn't too bad.

We all enjoyed watching the Thunderbirds fly by. It is impressive the formations that they create. We had fun watching all the stunts. Some of the planes would plummet from the sky and barrel roll. I wonder how they can do all those stunts without getting dizzy.

Kev loves planes and you can tell how happy he was at the show. He couldn't stop smiling and his excitement was like a little boy on Christmas morning.

Here is a picture of one of the cool formations they flew by in. My Grandpa was actually a pilot. He flew P-3s in the Navy.

It was fun being with family and getting to have such a cool experience. We even got to walk around after and see all the planes up close.
