YW Modesty activity

We went to try on dresses at Allyses for our Mia Maid activity.  The girls had been looking forward to this activity for a long time. The owner of the store gave a lesson about modesty that was just what the girls needed to hear.  They all looked beautiful in their dresses.

They even convinced Michelle and I to try one on.  The dress I chose had a corsette lace up in the back. Tessa was nice and helped me lace it all up.  It was fun having a reason to get all dressed up.

Mckenna and Tessa enjoyed taking pictures together.  They are the cutest friends.

It was fun helping the girls pick out dresses to try on.

Mckenna looked beautiful in this blue dress she tried on.  It won't be long before she gets to wear dresses like this and go on dates.

St. Patrick's Day

We had our traditional green dinner for St. Patrick's Day.  The green mint ice cream is always a hit.

I was able to go help with Addy's preschool class party.  They all looked adorable in their rainbow hats they made.  I loved how excited they got when they saw that the leprechauns had left them gold and made a mess of their classroom. I also observed Addy being a good helper at cleaning up and being kind to others.

It was a beautiful Spring day!  Brekke and her boys came over to hang out for the afternoon.  We even got out my cushions so we could enjoy the swing for the first time this year.  We took several group selfies and this was the best we got.

The kids had fun digging up the buried gold in the garden.

I laughed when I saw how Hayden was posing with his gold coins.  I love my kids!

Halle was also laughing as she ate her chocolate.  I don't remember what was so funny at the time.  It was a fun afternoon at home with the kids.

Family Ski day

The kids had the day off from school on Monday March 6th.  We decided to hit the slopes!  We spent the day skiing at Brighton.

It was really cold that day!  I think the high was around 20 degrees.  Parker and I were grateful to have our head socks to keep us warm.  Grandma Sue also had sent some little hotties hand warmers 

with all of us.  We were glad to have them.

Parker wiped out coming off a jump.  He just laid there for awhile.

Halle was my ski pole buddy.  I would pull her along on the flat stretches.

The kids and Kev love to ski through the trees.  I even joined them a few times.  The pine trees looked beautiful all flocked with snow.

The kids and I took this picture of all our skis facing together.  We thought it turned out cool.  It was another memorable ski day together.  It will be fun next season to have Addy join us too.

Here comes the bride...

It was a Saturday afternoon and the girls decided it would be fun to try on my wedding dress.  It had been about four years since the last time they tried it on.  It was still big on Addy but she loved wearing it.  I even carried her down the stairs so she could show Dad how pretty she looked.

Halle had fun trying it on again.  We took this picture to show off the long train it has on the back.

Mckenna's friend Abby was over and wanted to try it on too.  It showed off her tiny waist.

My dress fit Mckenna really well this time.  She is growing up so fast.  It was memorable to see the girls try on my dress.  I am glad that at least it is still getting some use as a dress up!

Halle's 10th birthday!

Our Halle Jane turned 10 years old on Thursday March 2nd.  When she got home I took her to get her birthday balloons.  She looked really cute in her new dress.

We had a party for her that night at our house.  It was fun that some of her cousins were able to be there.

I made Halle a cake that looked like a Ski hill.  We used some of her Lego friends figurines for skiers.  I made a sign that said, "Halle's run" with a black diamond.

She also got a ballerina outfit for her doll Kit.

We gave Halle a new bedspread set for her birthday.  She was excited to go to sleep that night in her new covers.  Halle is a thoughtful daughter.  She is always leaving us notes, making our beds, and is willing to give anyone a back scratch.  She loves to be silly and laugh with her friends.  She enjoys reading and is developing her talents of piano and dance. She continues to be a peacemaker in our family.  We love our Halle babes!
