Camp out with friends

We went camping at Ophir Canyon with friends over Labor day weekend.  It was our third year camping there. We are glad that are friends Hillary and Tyler put this together every year.

Addy went to sleep right away.  She looked so peaceful with her little hands up by her face.  Kev and I enjoyed hanging out with the adults once the kids were in bed.  I made a dutch oven apple crisp for dessert that night.

The next day I took Tessa and Kenna out on the four wheeler.  It was fun exploring around the canyon.  We really enjoyed having our four wheeler this time.

The kids spent a lot of time in the sandbox with friends. It took days to get all the sand out of their hair!  Addy, Hannah, and Tatum made a dandelion pie.

We biked into the town to look around.  I pulled both Addy and Hayden in the bike trailer.  I love my new bike and have rode it a lot in the last few months.

Kev and I went exploring later that afternoon.  I loved seeing the fall colors starting on the mountain.  We even saw some deer too.

Hayden and his friend Fisher, built this cool fort out of firewood as we were packing up.  It was a fun weekend getaway!

Back to school 2015

Summer went by way to fast this year.  Before we knew it, the kids were off to school.  Mckenna was looking forward to eighth grade.  

She was happy because her best friend Annie was transferring to her school.  They are also going to share a locker this year.  Mckenna will continue to take Honors English and Science.  The electives she chose are sign language, foods, and aerobics.

Parker was looking good and ready for fifth grade.  He was jumping up and down when he found out he got Mr. Smith for a teacher.  It will be his first boy teacher.  Parker already knows Mr. Smith well 

from the school plays.  Mr. Smith was also Mckenna's teacher and is one of the best!

Our Halle started third grade this year.  She looked so cute in her new back to school clothes.

She has Mrs. Casper as a teacher this year.  She likes her already.  She is also happy because her best friend Maddie is in her class.  We had to remind her to not talk too much with Maddie during class.

Our little Hayden started first grade.  He has a great teacher this year named Mrs. Chamberlain.

Hayden was looking forward to eating lunch at school.  Addy and I missed not having him come home to eat with us.

Our Addy had her first day of preschool the next day.  I can't believe my baby  is old enough to go to school.

She was really looking forward to it.  She didn't seem nervous at all about her first day.

She has Mrs. Howell as her teacher.  She comes home excited to show me all her papers.  Her teacher said she did the best in the class cutting with scissors.  I miss my little Addy when she is at school.  It has been nice getting errands done with no kids in tow.
