Look out Kindergarten, here he comes!!

I took Parker in for his Kindergarten checkup this morning. He passed everything with flying colors. He had the doctor, nurses, and I laughing with all his great responses. They started out by taking his blood pressure. When he saw the cuff he exclaimed that he knew what that was because we have one at home. The nurse explained that they were going to give his finger a little poke. She asked him to find his strongest finger. He grabbed one of his fingers and said it was a little loose. He then proudly pointed to his "middle finger" and said, "yep, this one is the strongest!!" They gave him a quiz about his colors, if he could count to ten, and had him spell his name. He rattled them all off like this is too easy. Our doctor asked is he had some chores at home. It took a little prompting from me to tell about how he makes his bed, cleans up his room, and helps set the table. He got a big smile on his face and told the doctor that he helped Dad put up the Christmas lights. Then it was time to test his vision. The nurse pointed to the arrow on the chart and asked him what is was. "It is the down arrow, just like on my leapster". If I had any suspicions about him playing the leapster too much that confirmed it! When she pointed to a moon shape he replied, "that is a crescent moon". I didn't even know that he knew that word. They said his vision was about 20/30. I was glad to know that he has good vision and doesn't need glasses. He was hesitant about getting his shots but was really brave and didn't cry. We told him that he needed to be a good example for his little brother Hayden who was getting his six month shots next. It was a very entertaining day at the doctor's office! Now Parker is all ready for Kindergarten and he can't wait!

Hayden is six months old!!

Our baby boy turned six months old today! It is crazy that he is already half way to his first birthday. Six months is such a fun stage. Hayden is chubby, happy, and lots of fun to play with.


He loves to put everything into his mouth. The other night he found that he could put his toes in his mouth and suck on those. He is working on those front bottom teeth and they should be coming in any day now.

He learned to roll over this month and is trying to sit up on his own. He is our handsome little guy and looks so cute in his new coat from his Aunt Teenie.

One of his favorite games is peek-a -boo. He was just busting up laughing the other night when Parker was playing with him. It was great to hear my boys laughing together!

The greatest snow on earth!!!

We went up to the Foster cabin over Christmas break. We decided to go on a snowmobiling adventure up above Smith and Morehouse. It was a beautiful day for snowmobiling. The sun was out and the sky was so blue. The higher up we climbed the views were spectacular. The pictures do not even do it justice. It is hard to capture on camera what it was like being there.

It is always fun to go snowmobiling with my husband. It brings back fun memories of when we were dating. Kev's Uncle, Dad, and brother also came with us. I was the only girl in our group.

When you are snowmobiling in deep snow like this you are bound to get stuck. I didn't mind each time we stopped because it was another great photo op for me.

Here is a picture of my husband coming to the rescue. He not only came to the rescue of our family but others that were up on the mountain that day.

It was fun having my father in law with us! I had to include this picture of him in his famous moon boots. We always give him a hard time about them.

We climbed the mountains up to this area called Mud Lake Flat. It was nice and open and a good spot to have fun in the powder.

My brother in law Spence had a great time showing off in the all the powder. The snow was really deep and came up to my thighs when I was walking in it.

I always enjoy taking pictures of my husband snowmobiling. I like how in this picture you can't even see the snowmobile because of all the powder. We had a really memorable time and it was great being up in the mountains.

Mckenna had fun playing in the snow with her cousins! I thought this was a cute picture of her just chillin.

We pulled the kids around on their sleds behind the snowmobiles. At one point there was four of them being pulled behind.

I took a picture of my three boys together. It was Hayden's first time snowmobiling and he enjoyed it. He followed the pattern of our other babies and fell asleep while riding.

Halle is only two years old and she knows how to get the snowmobile moving. I have to be careful to hit the kill switch or she will take off without me.

On our way home we stopped to watch Elk cross the road right in front of us. It was fun to getaway for a few days.

Bowling with the fam!!

We thought it would be fun to take the kids bowling over Christmas break. Kev and I realized that we hadn't gone bowling since the dating days which was nine years ago. Our bowling skills were a little rusty at first but then we were getting strikes again.

Kev taught Parker how to bowl with the proper form. Parker did really well and was even tied with me for awhile.

Halle enjoyed supervising the bowling balls more than anything. She had a thing for the pink ones and always wanted to be standing right there. She actually got two strikes during the game. It was thanks to the help of the metal bowling guide.(Does anyone know what that thing is really called?)

Hayden was happy to just watch us play. He is always happy to be held by his big sister.

I took this picture of the kids in their bowling shoes. I love how bowling shoes come in such small sizes. We had such a good time as a family! We need to do this more often!!
