Date night

 

On Saturday April 10th we went on a double date with Kathleen and Jacob.  We ate at our favorite place to eat, Maria Bonita. I can never get over how huge the Pina colada is. 

We were celebrating Kathleen's 40th birthday.  We went and walked around a local park afterwards. It was a beautiful spring night. I'm grateful for Kathleen and that we have been friends for over 24 years now!

On Friday April 16th we went and saw Les Mis at the Hale Center Theatre!  We bought our tickets a few months earlier and I had really been looking forward to it. 

Les Mis is one of my favorite musicals! I had seen it on Broadway before but I loved this production just as much.  Our old neighbor Amy Keeler even had the role of Fantine.  I love the music and the inspiring storyline.  It was a memorable date night with Kev!

Spring Break

 

Mckenna didn't get a Spring Break from school.  We drove up to Logan to spend some of ours with her.  The first stop was to get Aggie ice cream! I tried a new flavor called Space Debri. 

Addy got her ice cream in a waffle cone.  Even the cones are fresh and delicious. 

We stopped by Kenna's apartment and hung out with some of her roommates.  Kenna had created a gratitude list on her closet door.  I was happy to see that Mom and Dad made the list. 

 

We went to dinner at a new place called the Beehive Grill.  The food was great.  They even had a guy playing the guitar.  He played several Disney songs while we were there.  Parker went and put a tip in his guitar case. 

We stayed the night in a hotel close by campus.  They kids loved being able to swim. Addy looked cute in her new swimsuit. 

Bryson came by after work and swam with us.  The kids had a fun time hanging out with him and Kenna. 

The next morning we went to the Logan temple.  The kids had fun rolling down the hill.  I remember doing the same thing when I was a kid at the Provo Temple.

Parker let Kenna hang out on his scooter with him.  It was hard not being able to do things because of his broken foot. 

We had always wanted to stop at the Aerospace Museum at Hill Airforce Base. This time we made it happen. 

It was cool to get a look inside some of these huge planes and also to see the ammunition.

We were happy that Kenna got to hang out with us for a couple of days.  

Easter Weekend

 

We had a busy and memorable Easter weekend.  Kev and I went for a walk to the temple they are building by our house.  I learned an important lesson.  Never wear new shoes on a long walk.  I came home with several blisters. 

The next day we dyed Easter eggs.  The kids never get tired of this tradition. 

Kenna made the coolest egg I have ever seen!  She made the flag of England. I love her creativity!

The next morning we had the kids look for their Easter baskets. Notice that Parker is still wearing the boot.  His foot is healing and we hope that at his next appointment he gets to take it off for good. 

We drove to Dad and Loni's house to have breakfast and watch the morning session of conference together. 

We had the egg hunt in their backyard this year. 

I asked Kenna and Halle to fill the eggs for me. They decided to throw in some random things like Cheezits, batteries, and pennies.  Luckily, the other cousins thought it was funny and enjoyed the surprise. 

My Dad pulled out his Family History charts to show Kenna all the ancestors she has in England.  She will be serving her mission in many of the areas they came from. 

Kayley gave the kids Zour candy.  It was funny to watch their facial expressions.

Amy's family was watching her mom's dog Zipper.  Hayden loved holding her and playing games with her.

We stopped by the temple to get a picture of the kids.  I have been taking pictures all along to document the changes in the temple and my kids growth.  The temple should be finished in Spring of 2022.  Which is about a year from now. 

We watched the afternoon session of conference from our brand new sectional.  We love how it comfortably fits our family. 

We drove to Cody's house that night to have dinner and celebrate Aubrey's birthday.

I can't believe that she and Halle are 14 now.  I'm glad they have each other. 

The girls were doing the splits and Cody decided to join in.  It was a fun weekend seeing many of our extended family! It is not something we take for granted after spending last Easter at home during the pandemic,
