Happy Halloween!

We had a fun filled day. The day started out at 6:30 am when I got Kenna up for school. She has to catch the bus for school at 7:30. So she was up and ready for the day bright and early. She had a costume parade at her school. It was fun to see her in the parade. I remember the costume parade at elementary school when I was a kid. We went to Grandma & Grandpa Fosters house for a visit. Grandpa always puts on a spectacular Halloween display. There are mummys and ghosts that move around his garage. He had a ghost floating back and forth above the house. He also had a device to shoot air at anyone who came to his doorstep. We then went home and had a BBQ with some of our new neighbors. We then finished the day up by going trick or treating in our neighborhood.

Family pictures!

A couple of weeks ago we had some family pictures taken. We had really bad luck to begin with. The first day it rained so we had to cancel. The next time it was threatening to rain. We decided to get ready and go anyways. We drove to the Provo river parkway for the pictures. We were almost there and it started to rain again. We decided to take them anyway. Our friend Will Blattman took the pictures for us. He is a awesome photographer. I really like the pictures he takes of his own family. He has two children the same ages as Parker and Halle. I really like how he captures the personalities of the people he photographs. He did a really good job and I was happy how they turned out. We just kind of did our own thing and he followed us around. I think they really turned out better that way! Thank you Will for taking pictures of our family. We love them and will enjoy looking back at them years from now!

Pumpkin patch

We went to Cornbellys pumpkin patch at Thanksgiving point. We went with Grandma Loni and Aunt Kayley. We have a tradition in our family that we go to a pumpkin patch every fall. We usually go to Hee Haws, but decided to try this one out. We had an awesome time. There was so much for us to do. We went through a haunted monster and a corn maze. We also went on a train ride and watched pig races. They had all kinds of playgrounds and toys for the kids to play on. It was perfect weather for the day. We spent about three hours there and could have stayed all day!

Never a dull moment...

Parker came into the bedroom the other day and said "Look Mom!! I got a tissue for my nose all by myself!"

He had brought me almost the whole roll of toilet paper. But how could I be upset, he was just trying to be helpful. I had a good laugh about this one.

I came in to wake up Parker from his nap and this is what I found...He was upside down in his bed but that was not unusual. I noticed that he had several strands of beads around his neck.

I then noticed that Kennas jewelry box was at his feet. Someone had been having a good time during his nap.

It wasn't until he sat up that I noticed he was wearing a bracelet and another bracelet around his ankle. Someday he might be embarassed by these pictures! You got to love kids! Parker is always suprising me with something funny these days. (Liz, this one is for you! I know you can relate!)

Fall is in the air!

We had a great weekend! We enjoyed listening to conference and spending time together. We went up to the Foster cabin to listen to the last session of conference. The drive up Provo canyon was beautiful. The leaves were all different colors. Some of the reds were so bright they almost looked fluorecent. The aspens up at the cabin were a bright yellow. The air was crisp and it just felt like fall.

Halle turned seven months on the second of this month. She is such a cute little baby. We love having her in our family. Mckenna and Parker both adore her. They love to make her smile and entertain her. They also love to feed her baby food. They are so happy to take turns putting the food in her mouth and waiting for a reaction. Halle is a good eater and is putting on the pounds. She loves peas and green beans. The funny thing is she doesn't like fruit very much. I am glad she likes vegetables. I hope she doesn't grow out of that one. Halle is getting around a lot these days. She rolls to get what she wants. She also pushes off with her legs to reach things. It is only a matter of time before she takes off crawling. She has also started to say a few words or sounds. She likes to make the sound aaa-daa-daa. We think she is saying Dad. She also likes to say something that sounds like Hi. When we make sounds she trys to imitate them.

We took our kids to the Ringling brothers circus this last Friday. We had an awesome time! It was Kev's first time to the circus ever. Mckenna loved it and was laughing her head off. She liked the clowns that walk around on stilts. She was curious and was asking how they were so tall. When I told her she decided she wanted some stilts of her own. Parker said his favorite part was the horses. I think he really enjoyed eating the cotten candy more than anything. It is outrageous what they charge for cotten candy. It was twelve dollars just for one bag. It did come with a great hat.( you can see that everyone took a turn wearing it in the pictures.) I always love seeing the elephants at the circus. I just can't get over how big they are. We also had great seats right up front. Kev got discounts on them through his new job.
