From the page to the stage

 

Addy had her end of the year dance performance on May 28th! The theme this year was, "From the page to the stage. 

Her contemporary class performed a dance from the book "I, Robot". 

Her world dance performed a piece from the book, "Around the World." 

Her contemporary class performed a dance from, "Lord of the Rings." 

 

We loved watching Addy shine on the stage! It is fun to see her improve every year!

Memorial Day

 

We went up to my mom and grandparents graves on Memorial Day. I will always be grateful for the love that they showed me. I miss them everyday!

Parker showed up on his motorcycle and gave Halle a lift. 

It was nice to have some of the kids with us.  Hayden wasn't feeling up to coming that day. 

Parker took a nap when we got back to the house. Then we went and got lunch at Mod Pizza. 

We took the boat out for the first time this season. 

Ollie came with us too. I love how he is watching over Halle and Andrew in the water. 

The kids had fun on the tube together!

May highlights

 

We celebrated Mike and Loni's birthdays on May 3rd.  I made Loni a strawberry basil cake. Mike was also set apart as a counselor in his bishopric that day. 

I took Addy to see the Michael Jackson movie on May 11th. We both loved the movie! 

I went to the Autcon conference for the first time on May 15th.   My friend Jen Walton was speaking about AuDHD. She did a great job and I learned a lot of how to help Hayden.  Next year I would like to attend more of the conference. 

That same night Kev and I went to a Bees game.  It was a work event and they fed us food and we had our own section to sit in.  The new stadium was nice.  There was even a grand slam that night. 

We had a carpet cleaner come to our house on May 22nd. They also cleaned our couches too. I noticed a difference in the carpet but not the couches. I took this picture of Ollie chilling in the room without any furniture. 

We went to the Desert Star playhouse on May 23rd.  It was fun having Halle and Andrew come with us! They performed a funny parody about the Princess Bride. We enjoyed appetizers and dessert.  It was fun running into Matt and Melanie Quinney.  We hadn't seen them in many years. 

We celebrated Heather and Sue's birthday's on May 24th.  We had a nice dinner and hung out at Heather and Dan's house. 

25 years

 

We celebrated our 25th anniversary on Monday May 18th.  Kev booked a couples massage and pedicure for us.  Our lives have been stressful lately and it was nice to be able to relax and unwind.  Kev  had never had a pedicure before. I sent this picture to the kids because I knew that it would make them laugh. 

We drove to Salt Lake to eat dinner at a restaurant that I had wanted to try called, "Le Boeuf".  I tried the lobster ravioli. It was really good and the right amount. 

Kev got steak withy potatoes and asparagus. We shared a waffle with Nutella for dessert.  We both enjoyed the food. 

Mother's day

 

I was happy that Parker came home to be with me for Mother's day.  It was his first time coming to church with us at our new building. He gave me beautiful flowers and did an Instagram post for me. 

I was also happy to have Addy with me at church that day.  She also helped cook me a delicious breakfast that morning. 

I love being Hayden's mom! It is crazy how much he has grown in the last year.  He towers over me now. He gave me peanut butter m&m's.  He knows that they are my favorite. 

Halle had to work that day.  She is an EMT at Lagoon now.  This is her official work uniform. I'm happy that she is loving her job. She was able to come home and eat dinner with us.  She gave me the cutest bamboo plant and coconut cookie. 

Kev smoked brisket and Mac n cheese for dinner. It was delicious! 

Addy painted my nails for me. I loved the daisy details. She also made me these fun flowers out of pipe cleaner. 

Kenna and Bryson gave me this cute pineapple plant for Mother's day.  We missed not having them with us but they were having fun on their cruise. 

I have always wanted to put pictures of my mom, Kenna, and I in a frame together. These are all of us in our wedding dresses. I always miss my mom extra on Mother's day! I'm grateful for the sixteen years that I had with her. I wouldn't be the mother I am today without her loving example. 

Addy's dance performance

 

Addy had her end of the year dance performance at the middle school on Thursday May 7th!  Her class danced to a medley of Abba songs. Addy was in the same class as her best friend Lacey. Addy even got lifted by the other dancers. 

After the performance someone came up and hugged me.  It was Alisha!  It was such a fun surprise to see her and Lexi.  

It was a fun night cheering Addy on while she performed. I'm excited for her to be on dance company next year!
