April highlights

 

Our niece Bailey got baptized on Saturday April 15th. We are so happy we were able to be there. 

We went to a lunch at their new house afterwards. Their family moved back in February of this year. We love having them live in Utah again!

I went to dinner with my high school friends on Saturday April 22nd. We were celebrating Kathleen and Robyn's birthdays. We ate at a new place in Provo called Mozz pizza. It was great to talk and laugh with these beautiful women!

We went to Macy Udy's bridal shower on Saturday April 29th. We are excited for her to get married in a couple of weeks. It has been fun for her and Kenna to be engaged at the same time. 

It was fun to spend time with Amy, Janice, Laura, and Brekke. I miss living by these awesome women!

Prom 2023

 

Halle went to her first prom on Saturday April 15th! It was also her first date too. She looked so beautiful!

Brodey Jackson took her to the dance. Halle's friends mom, Jessie, did her hair for her. 

Parker asked his girlfriend Zoey Dunn to the dance. He brought her these beautiful flowers. Danae is always good to send me pictures of them. They went to the Labrynth for their day activity and ate lunch at In n Out. 

Parker asked me to take their dance pictures. He was able to borrow a nice camera from Thundervision for me to use. We took their pictures at the Pelican Point Marina. Parker helped edit all the pictures in photoshop. 

They had such a fun group and they were easy to photograph. I brought our balloon garland from home to use. Marci and Al both showed up to see Ty get his pictures taken. It was fun to have them there! They were helpful and even held up the garland while I took pictures. 

Parker has been friends with most of these guys since he was a kid. I can't believe how grown up they are. 

It's hard to believe that this is Parker's last prom. He said, "I had the time of my life with this beautiful girl!"

He also did most of the planning for their group. They went to dinner at Sol Agave and then went to the dance. It was held at the state fairgrounds this year. I'm happy that he had such a memorable last prom. 

I took this candid of the group as they were walking. I love how Halle's dress sparkled in the light. 

I'm glad that Halle's first date went so good. 

It was fun to take pictures of her and Brodey. It was also sweet to see him open the car door for Halle. 

I love that Halle and Parker got to be in the same prom group. It made me so happy!

 I love these two and the fun they have with each other!

Easter

 

The kids enjoyed our tradition of dyeing Easter eggs. Zoey and Nayla also helped us dye the eggs. 

We had a nice Easter Sunday at church. We drove to the temple to take some pictures. The temple is all finished and the open house will start in a month. We can't wait!

Kev smoked a delicious ham for Easter dinner.  We hosted it at our house this year. We were missing Kenna and Bryson! They were spending Easter with Bryson's family. 

Parker snuck a couple of rolls before dinner. We all love Aunt Amy's rolls! 

We had a nice dinner together. We even pulled out my mom's nice china to eat on. 

We couldn't all fit at one table so we had two this time. The kids enjoyed drinking the individual sparkling ciders. 

Addy and Elle went on the traditional egg hunt. 

They both got lots of candy since it was just the two of them. 

Amy came up with a new egg hunt for the older kids in the family. They searched for a certain amount of eggs that had numbers on them. 

If they had a certain number they got a specific amount of money. They also lost money for some of the eggs. Halle was the most lucky and made the most money.

Parker had to follow through with a dare to get his money. He sang "I'm a little teapot" with actions. It made us all laugh. 

Addy and Elle went through all their candy, counted, and sorted it. 

It was good to have Kayley with us for Easter too. We took a picture of all the girls that were still dressed up. 

Spring Break

 

The kids had their Spring break from April 3-7, 2023.  I took Parker and Halle shopping for prom. We found a grey suit for Parker that will work for both prom and his mission. 

We got some lunch at Burgers Supreme. I enjoyed seeing Halle and Parker have fun together. It was good to have some time with just the two of them. 

Halle tried on many dresses at many different stores. I had forgotten how hard it is to find a modest dress. We ended up getting the one from Sweetheart Bridal that she had tried on when Kenna was wedding dress shopping. She looks beautiful in her dress and I can't wait for her to wear it to prom. 

We drove up to the cabin on Wednesday to spend a few days. It was still winter up at the cabin. 

Kev says it is the most snow he has ever seen up there. It took him a long time just to shovel a path for us to get into the cabin. 

There was a thick layer of snow on the cabin roof and and several feet of snow.  We were hoping it wouldn't damage the cabin roof. 

The kids had fun playing on the giant mounds of snow. 

You could barely see the sign that said Chuck Foster Drive on it.

A bonus of this much snow was we were able to snowmobile to areas we hadn't been in years. 

Addy, Kev, and I went on a snowmobiling adventure together. We went to the top of the mountain where Kev and I had carved our initials in a tree back in 2002.  We looked but we couldn't find our Aspen tree. The tree might still be standing but our initials were probably buried by snow. 

When we got back we saw that Parker had made lots of progress on his snow cave. He had taken off his shirt because he got so hot from digging. 

Kev brought up Addy's ski's and we pulled her around the field behind the snowmobile. The snow level was so high in the pasture that the top of the barb wired fence was buried. 

Parker had fun catching some air on the snowmobile. 

One afternoon we drove up to Smith and Morehouse to snowmobile. The kids had fun jumping off the top of the outhouse. 

We snowmobiled around the campsites and even saw a large moose wandering around.  He moved to quick for me to get a good picture of him. 

Conference Weekend

 

Kenna and Bryson came home for Conference Weekend! They had fun hanging out with Parker, Zoey, and Halle. 

We went to Mike and Amy's house for the Sunday morning of conference. 

It was fun introducing Bryson to our conference breakfast tradition. 

It is always nice watching conference in Mike and Amy's theater room. Addy and Elle put on a show for us after the session. 

It was good to hang out and talk with my sister Kayley. 

Hayden enjoyed getting to know their new dog Apollo. Their family bought a Pitbull about a month ago. Amy has been working hard to train him. 

We watched the afternoon session at home and Kev was "listening with his eyes closed". I love conference and listening to our prophet Russell M. Nelson speak! I always feel edified and ready to start life anew. 

Parker surprised me with these beautiful pink roses. It was very thoughtful of him! They even lasted three weeks. 

It was such a nice day that we had to get outside and enjoy it. Kev and I went for a walk and Addy had fun riding her scooter. 

Parker showed up on the four wheeler and took Addy for a ride too. It finally feels like Spring at our house!
