Go Kenna!!

Mckenna came home from school so excited to show me what she was wearing. They are having a Jazz reading contest at school this next month. Every kid is supposed to read at least 60 minutes a day and more if they can. The school with the most reading minutes will have a Jazz player come visit. They also have all kinds of incentives for the kids. Mckenna was so excited for this contest and read all weekend long. She read the most minutes of all the kids in the first grade and was given the Jazz jersey to wear.

She gets to show off Matt Harpring's number all week long! She told me how the other kids at school were crowding around her and giving her high fives in the hall. When Mckenna sets her mind on something she works hard to achieve it.

It was a really great day for Mckenna! She also got to hold her new cousin Cole Calderwood that was born yesterday. (notice that she is still wearing the jersey. I think she is going to have a hard time parting with it at the end of the week)

My handsome boy!!

I took Parker to get his four year old birthday pictures a couple weeks ago. I was really happy with how many good ones I had to choose from. Parker actually enjoys getting his picture taken. We had a fun day together just the two of us! After getting his pictures taken we went to McDonalds to get a hamburger. It was nice being able to focus all my attention on just him. He is such a little sweetheart. He loves to hold my hand and look up at me with those big blue eyes. He is growing up so fast and sometimes I wish I could slow down time.

We love Aunt Teenie!!

My little sister has been home visiting for the last couple of weeks. It is always so much fun when she is here. The kids adore her and always want her to stay at our house. She even spent time helping Mckenna with her math homework.

Aunt Teenie is always fun to play with. Parker and Teenie laughing as they fall down the slide together.We always make something sweet to enjoy when she is at our house. Halle is helping shake the bag of Chex muddy buddies.

New years surprise!!!!

We thought it would be a good time to share the news with you that we are having our fourth child. I am about 10 1/2 weeks along right now! My due date is July 27 th and my doctor will induce me about a week earlier which is closer to the 20th of July. We told our kids on Christmas eve. We showed them the ultrasound and Parker asked is that a picture of the earth. Mckenna was so excited and couldn't wait to tell everyone our family secret. We told our families for Christmas. Parker is so excited and goes around telling everyone that we are having a baby boy. He is counting on having a little brother. I have to admit that I am hoping we are having another boy. When I went to my first doctors appointment he looked at my chart and said, "it looks like you need another boy!" I have to admit that I already have my heart set on it. I have been that way with all our kids and gotten what I wanted each time. So in the back of my mind I am thinking that I can't possibly get what I want four out of four. I haven't been feeling the greatest lately. The morning sickness is pretty much on and off all day. So I can't wait until about thirteen weeks and hopefully I will get rid of the nausea. Anyways, we are really happy and just wanted to share our news with family, friends, and the rest of the blogging world.
