Can't get enough snow!!

We haven't had much snow at our house this year. The snow on our front lawn all melted and it feels like spring. We decided to make a trip to the cabin so we could enjoy the snow. We invited some of our friends to come up with us. Payton, Emily, and Kenna had a lot of fun together.

Parker was king of the mountain. The mountain actually was a mound of snow in the parking lot but they enjoyed climbing up and then sliding down.

There are ten kids between our three families. I was the only adult at the kids table for awhile.

We pulled the girls all over the field on the tube. They flew off many times but just hopped back on to go again.

Hayden and Brody are good friends! They are about three months apart in age. They had fun playing on the floor together. I thought it was cute how Brody would reach for Hayden's hand.

I caught this picture of the guys after they came in from snowmobiling. They went and had some fun racing the snowmobiles. We had a good laugh because Alvin's glasses were all fogged up.

Janice, Tessa, and I had a fun time just hanging out and talking. We always have a good time when we are together. It was a fun weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

We have been celebrating Valentines all week long at our house. It has been a lot of fun! The kids had their parties at school. I decided to start a new Valentines tradition this year. I got a bunch of Hershey Kisses and had them in a jar where everyone could see them. I gave them out as rewards for acts of kindness around our house. The kids enjoyed it and it even works for husbands too!

Kev and I exchanged our Valentines gifts . I got him a giant jar of Jelly Bellys. They are his favorite candy. He got me flowers and surprised me with some earrings that I really wanted.

On Saturday we got to have some couple time. We went to lunch at Red Lobster. We decided to go in the afternoon to avoid the Valentine night madness. It was great because we only had to wait fifteen minutes. The restaurant was filled with lots of cute old couples. It made us feel really young. We both ordered seafood. Kev really likes scallops and I can't get enough lobster and crab legs. I always have fun cracking open the crab legs and trying to get out all the meat. I guess I just like to play with my food. We got a big Strawberry colada drink to share. We also were able to go to a session at the temple. Thanks to Dad and Loni for watching all the kids so we could enjoy the day together. Today has been a relaxing day at home. We had a big Sunday dinner and have been munching on all the treats here at home.

Grant family party!!

We headed up to the cabin to spend the weekend with our Grant side of the family. The moon was huge as it came up over the mountain. It is called a wolf moon. It only happens about every two years. The moon on this night is 30 percent bigger than normal.

It looked like this as we pulled in the gate to drive up to the cabin. You can see the cabin with all the lights on and the barn across the field.

The kids were excited to have a sleepover with their cousins. Halle had fun watching a movie with cousin Aubrey. After all the kids were in bed Kev and I were able to go snowmobiling.

The next day the cousins had fun going out on the sled together. Mckenna and cousin Kyle had the record for staying outside the longest. I think they only came in for meals.

Hayden was happy to be outside in the snow! He looks so grown up just sitting there by the tree.

Kev took the kids to see his old fort. It had been about twelve years since he had been in there. The kids had fun climbing in and out and exploring.

Can you tell that these two are brothers? Uncle Bruce and Uncle Dave were having an afternoon nap. I am glad I had my camera nearby.

Hayden enjoyed all the attention from the cousins and Aunts. There was always someone who wanted to hold him. I had a fun time catching up with everyone. Grandma and Grandpa Grant had seven children and the family has really grown since then. It was fun talking to Grandma Grant about what it was like to raise her seven children. She had really good advice for all of us. It was fun to see everyone!
