This is Halloween

 

We carved pumpkins on the Sunday before Halloween while Kenna was home visiting for the weekend.  

Addy got to dress up for dance during the week. It was my first time trying out the Rey hairdo. I let her play on the computer while I did her hair.

We took our traditional pictures of the kids on the porch before trick or treating. 

Halle was Buttercup from the Princess bride.  She wore the costume Kenna made for a school dance a couple years ago. 

Addy was Rey from Star Wars. This was my third time creating this hairdo. 

Hayden was dressed up as Spider-man. They had a virtual parade this year that Kev and I were able to watch from home. 

Mckenna came home for the weekend. She dressed up as Stanley Yelnats from the movie "Holes". 

I took a picture of her digging them holes.  Brooke was also dressed up like her.  They went to a party at her friends house next door. 

It was a nice night and I handed out candy on the drive way.  Janice came over and hung out with me for awhile. We stayed warm by the fire.  

Addy's unicorn party

 

Addy had a birthday party with her friends on Friday October 30th. The girls had fun wearing their unicorn party hats.

I let Addy take some pictures with my phone while her friends arrived. I loved seeing the cute pictures she took. 

We played several fun games. The first thing we did was let the girls find out their unicorn name.  Addy's was Rosy Royal Ribbon.  Then they played a unicorn ring toss game. 

We also played a game called roll a unicorn.  The girls took turns rolling a dice to earn different parts  to create a unicorn. 

Then I had them frost upside down ice cream cones to look like unicorn horns. It was fun to see what they came up with.  They used a lot of sprinkles!

I loved seeing how happy Addy was with her friends.  It made all the hard work worth it. 

Then we opened up presents. Addy was excited about her new barbie and hatchimal. 

She also got an LOL surprise doll.  It was cute to see how excited the girls were to watch her open it. 

It was such a fun and magical party! These girls are hilarious and kept me laughing the whole time. 

Addy's 9th birthday

 

Addy turned nine years old on Saturday October 24th! We had a fun day celebrating with her. 

She was so excited that Mckenna came home for the weekend.  She even curled Addy's hair for her. 

We went and got her birthday waffle and balloons. She picked out a nine and some fun unicorn ones. 

She wanted to have Domino's pizza for dinner.  We all love their garlic knots. 

We had a family party for her that night at our house.  When it was my birthday a couple weeks earlier Addy told us, "I love all these decorations and want them for my birthday.....except the 40!"  It made us all laugh. We left the streamers and banner up and got her a number nine. 

She was happy about the stuffed animal unicorn that we gave her. 

Kenna spoiled her and got her some Vans. 

She gave Kenna a huge hug and thanked her for the present. 

I made Addy a unicorn cake this year.  She is obsessed with all things unicorn right now. 

She got some barbie sets from her grandparents and Aunt Kayley.  She had fun playing with her cousins Hailey and Elle at her party.

I filmed Addy showing off her cartwheel and dance moves. She loves to cartwheel everywhere she goes. Her school teacher told us that she gets along with everyone in her class. She also told us that Addy has been kind to another boy that struggles and even helps him with his school work. I was so happy to hear this!  Her smiles and laughter bring happiness to us all.  We love our Addy!

Fall Break

 

We had a fun Fall Break together! It was our first time going to Frightmares at Lagoon.

It was fun seeing the park all decorated for Halloween. We took advantage of all the photo ops.

We had to wear masks while in the park but it was worth it.  Addy and I went on the Tilt o whirl together. I must be getting older because it made me so dizzy. 

I got this fun picture of Parker and Hayden riding on the Bat ride. They were the front row.

The haunted houses were definitely family friendly.  They mostly had fog and neon lights. It was Addy and Haydens first time in a haunted house and they were brave about the whole thing. The workers kept talking to Addy and trying to get her to come with them. She calmly replied, "no thanks".  It made us all laugh.

Kev went with the older kids on Colossus. It was nice because there was no wait. Kev is easy to spot with his hands up in the air.

They had this awesome pumpkin arch on our way to Pioneer village. It looked cool all lite up at night. 

They had some fun activities for the kids. They handed out treat and prize bags to all the kids.

Addy was brave and went on Wicked again with Kev. She still needs a booster seat but was able to hold her head up this time. 

Mckenna did not get a Fall Break at college. We drove up one day to visit her. She was happy to receive her voting ballot. I can't believe one of our kids is old enough to vote!

It was the kids first time seeing her apartment.  They went all out with their decorations for Halloween. They had the most decorations in the whole building.

We went to lunch at Texas Roadhouse. We got lots of food and ate way too many delicious rolls.

We then drove up Logan Canyon to a spot that Kenna had been before. We walked around the boardwalk by the river. 

The Fall leaves were beautiful as we walked around. I was happy with how this picture of Kev and I turned out. 

The kids had fun running around and being silly together. I'm glad they had this time with Kenna. 

There was this cool tree with a swing right by the river.  We all took turns swinging on it.  

We found a local pumpkin patch to visit. They had these unique shaped pumpkins that reminded me of the ones in a Harry Potter movie. 

The kids picked out some great pumpkins to take home with us. It was fun to visit a new pumpkin patch this time. 

On Sunday we celebrated our niece Elle's birthday. She turned eight year old.  Addy and Elle loved when Kev swung them around the yard. It was a beautiful Fall night and just the right temperature. 

On Monday we drove up to the cabin for the day.  We all spent time riding the horses. 

Preston, Melissa, and their kids stopped by in the afternoon. Addy was so happy to play AG dolls with cousin Ali.
