The best part of Thanksgiving was that Kenna and Bryson were home with us! They drove down on Wednesday November 22nd. Addy had fun doing gel nails with Kenna!
I reminded Kenna that this was her first Thanksgiving at home in a couple of years. She had spent the last two years on her mission in England. Amy asked her to bring some cranberry jellly. I brought the stuffing and green bean casserole.
It was nice of Mike and Amy to host this year. Mike cooked three turkeys this year.
Amy is the most organized host that I know! She had her Thanksgiving list on her clipboard.
It was fun to take some pictures with Kayley and the girls.
I took a picture of the boys too. Bryson always calls his shoulder bag his LuLuLemon purse. It makes me laugh! He actually carries insulin and snacks in it for his diabetes.
Amy's brother, Jordan, was rocking out on the piano all afternoon.
It was hilarious when everyone did the Huger Games sign before dinner.
The kids decided to play Utahopoly. It went on for hours! Bryson was in it until the end. Kayley won the game.
Parker took a Thanksgiving nap while the game was going on. If you click on the picture you will see that he has been growing a beard. He is taking "No shave November" very seriously.
Hayden always enjoys hanging out with Mike and Amy's dog, Apollo. He even got him to take a nap.
The next morning Kenna convinced me to do some Black Friday shopping. We went to the outlet mall. We are happy that they have a Bath & Body store now.
I teased Kenna about visiting Santa while we were there. She said she was too old for that now. Then Santa just happened to show up at the store we were at.
That night we went to Mod Pizza. It is one of our favorite pizza places to eat at. It was Brysons first time trying it. We went and saw the new Hunger Games movie, Songbirds and Snakes. We all enjoyed it and thought it followed the book well.
On Saturday night we went to Cody and Kristin's house for pizza and games.
We played a competitive game of Family Feud. Cody attempted to distract Halle by taking off his shirt. It didn't work and Halle won the round.
I'm happy to announce that our team won the game!
It was nice to have Kenna and Bryson with us at church the next day. We also decorated the Christmas tree. We sent Kenna home with our old tree. I love our family traditions!
