Heather & Dans wedding day!!!

Kev's sister Heather got married to Dan on Tuesday of this week. They were sealed in the Bountiful temple. We are so glad that Heather married Dan. He is such a great guy and it is fun having him in the family. The kids loved him from day one! The sealing was really nice and they had so much family there to support them. They had their luncheon at a restaurant called the Wight house. It was great because Kev's cousin Haley watched our youngest two so we wouldn't have to worry about them. Mckenna was the only grandchild to be invited to the luncheon. She loved being there with us and was well behaved. It was fun watching their wedding video. We loved seeing all the pictures of Dan when he was younger. It was nice to meet Dans family and get to know them better. The wedding reception was at a friends house in Sandy. The backyard looked beautiful with all the decorations. All of us were dressed up in Heathers colors of purple and green. We had a really fun time hanging out with family and friends. The kids had fun trying to jump in the swimming pool all evening. Mckenna started out by just putting her feet in and by then end of the evening she was swimming in her dress. We had a great time dancing to the Ken Foster Trio. We had a wonderful day! Heather and Dan are such a cute couple! We are so glad that they got married!

A day at the zoo!

On Saturday we went to the Hogle Zoo! Aunt Lisa, Tucker, & Aubrey came with us too. They are here in Utah for Heathers wedding this upcoming week. It was fun having them with us. The kids always have fun playing with their cousins. It brought back memories of when I was little and went to the zoo with my cousins. It is always fun to take the kids places I enjoyed when I was little.
They had a albino alligator on exhibit. It was cool to see up close. It almost looked like it was made of stone because it never moved except for it's eye would follow you around.
I ran in to my friend Denise while we were there. We met each other in our crazy college years. We hadn't seen eachother in a reallly long time. It was fun catching up with you Trigger. You can always make me laugh.

Mckenna and Tucker had fun playing in the drinking fountain. They found when you push the button hard the water will shoot out everywhere. I think it is so funny that we pay money to take them places and they have the best time just playing at a drinking fountain. It really is the simple things that make them happy.

I always wanted a monkey for a pet when I was little. I admit that they still fascinate me! I sat and watched this Orangutan for a long time. He was quite the character. I am amazed at how flexible they are just swinging from the trees and hanging on branches with their toes.
We got the classic picture with Parker in front of the Gorilla sign. I was the same height as the gorilla this year but I am grateful that my arms are not that long.
We tried to coordinate a picture with all the cousins in front of the statue. We are just glad that they are all in the picture. I love how they are staring at Mckenna who is up around the gorillas neck.
Lisa took this picture of our family. It was nice being able to have a picture with all of us. It doesn't happen a lot.
We ended the day playing at the giant ball that rotates in water.(I don't really know what they call that thing. Water Art?) Parker and Halle had fun getting wet! It is a great way to cool off on a hot day.

Trial Lake!!

We went camping in the high Uintas to a place called Trial Lake. Kev was able to take off a few days at work to spend with us. We had a really fun time! We were really thankful that things went so smoothly compared to the problems on our last camping trip. The temperature was in the seventies the whole time which was perfect. Great Grandpa Grant came and spent a day with us. He has been taking his family up there for over fifty years. It was really great having him come. The kids had so much fun going fishing with him. We borrowed his fishing boat and enjoyed many hours of coasting along the lake. Mckenna loved fishing and I think that she caught more fish than all of us put together. We brought up the kids bikes this year and they loved the freedom of getting around. Parker would fill the back of his trike with firewood or rocks and haul them to the lake. I enjoyed many hours of just reading! I went and got my copy of Breaking Dawn before we left. I had a hard time putting it down! Kev and I had fun playing card games and just hanging out by the fire after the kids went to bed. We had such a fun time that it was hard to come back home.

Mckennas pictures!

I took Mckenna to get her six year pictures the beginning of July. I am just a little slow getting them on the blog. They turned out really good and it was hard to pick just a few of them. I bought this dress for her birthday. There is a store on Lehi main street called Angels Boutique. They sell the most beautiful dresses and even suits for little boys. I always see the display window as I drive down main street. I saw this dress in the window and loved it. Pink and brown together is one of my favorites. Mckenna loves the dress too and feels like a princess every time she wears it. The great thing is that it's long and she will be able to wear it next year too.
