Thanksgiving

We went up to the cabin on November 23, 2016.  The majority of the Foster side of the family was there together for the day. We missed Dan who was catering a Thanksgiving party in Washington.  Halle had fun riding horses with Aubrey.  It was the first time that they went on a ride all by themselves and they did great.

It was nice to be able to visit with Kamille and get to know her better.

Cole and Hayden were both wearing their angry birds hats.  They had fun on a horse ride together.

Grandpa took the cousins on lots of gator rides.  He even taught Neiska how to drive the Gator.

We took a picture with all the cousins together.  There are now fifteen grandkids on the Foster side!  We are enjoying getting to know Kamille's kids.  They are so cute, friendly, and loving.

Hayden loves his baby cousin Bailey!  He was happy that she wanted to lay right by him during the movie that night.

We woke up to several inches of new snow on Thanksgiving morning.  Halle took this picture of the two of us.

Kev enjoyed spending time with Spencer and getting the snowmobiles ready for winter.

The girls had fun playing games together while we waited for the turkey to cook.  It was nice to have Mckenna's help in the kitchen this year.  She made the mashed potatoes.

We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner by candlelight.  It was even better having Heather and her kids with us this year.

Young Women In Excellence night

We had Young Women In Excellence on Wednesday November 16th.  The theme was "Celebrating Who I am".  I was able to take a panoramic picture of all the girls displaying their personal progress projects.

Mckenna displayed the sketch she did of her Aunt Lisa.  She did such a great job and I am glad she is developing her talent of drawing.

Mckenna and I both earned ribbons for personal progress that night.  Mckenna earned hers for Individual worth and I earned mine for Virtue.  I love being Mckenna's Mom and Young Womens leader!

Justine Frost was in charge of YWIE this year.  I was glad to let someone else have the chance.  She created these cute picture displays of all the girls.  One of my Mia Maids Maria King posed by hers for me.  

I am so glad that I get to serve with my bestie Brekke Houpt.  She is our YW president and I look up to her in so many ways.

We were able to take a picture with all the leaders at the end of the night.  It was a little bittersweet knowing that changes in YW leaders were soon going to take place.  I really love all these amazing women  I get to serve with and learn from.

Go cougars!!

Kev found a good deal on tickets for the BYU football game so we took some of the kids.  We went on Saturday November 12th.  They were playing Southern Utah University. 

Halle and Parker all dressed up in their BYU gear.  It was Halle's first experience at a football game. It was a beautiful Fall day and the perfect temperature for a game.

A nice family behind us took our picture.  They told us to do a cheering pose and this is what we got.  Parker's face is the best! 

We all had a great time and the icing on the cake was that BYU won!  Then we went to our favorite place to eat Burger Supreme.

Cody & Kamille's wedding

Our brother-in-law Cody met Kamille Bauer this Summer.  She also had lost her husband to cancer.  Kamille has three kids, Neiska, Gunner, and Wyatt.  We are so grateful that they have found each other and the happiness that has come to their whole family. 

Cody and Kamile were married for time in the Salt Lake temple on November 11, 2016.  We were able to celebrate that night with them at the Salt Lake Hardware building.

Kamille looked beautiful and Cody was so happy.  

The kids all looked darling in their wedding attire.  Halle had fun running around with cousin Aubrey.

The Ken Foster Trio provided the music for the night.  Kev took a moment to give his Dad a hug.

Addy had fun dancing with Aubrey and all the other kids.

They had multiple wedding cakes that night.  There was a cake chosen and decorated for each of their seven kids.  We are happy to have three new cousins in the family!  Uncle Dan dared Hayden to stuff his whole piece of cake in his mouth at once.  Hayden won!

I loved the back of the wedding invitation which included a picture of Clint and Lisa.  We always knew that Lisa wanted Cody to get married again. She also wanted a mother in her children's lives.  We believe that Lisa played a hand in bringing Cody and Kamille together.  We are grateful to see Cody and the kids have happiness in their lives again.

Day trip to the cabin

On Saturday November 5th we went up to the cabin for the day.  Our whole family went on a horse ride together.  We brought the selfie stick along so we could get a picture of all of us.

Kev took the older kids on a longer ride.  It was a beautiful day especially for November.

Addy and  I went on a Gator ride over to the playground.

We had fun riding the teeter totter together.  I taught her the childhood classic song, "teeter totter, bread and water, wash your face in dirty water."  She thought that was the greatest.  It was a nice day to getaway and just spend time together as a family.
