Valentines Day!

We had a really great Valentines day together. It was nice that it was on a Saturday and Kev was able to spend the whole day with me. I make Kev a treat for Valentines every year. I made him a fruit pizza this year. He prefers fruit over chocolate any day. Kev surprised me with beautiful pink Gerber daises. I love having fresh flowers in the house.

We had a babysitter for the night and were able to get away to celebrate. We went to the new olive garden in AF. I had been having a craving to go there for awhile now. I am easily influenced by the TV commercials showing all the delicious food. We both ate until we were stuffed. I looked about six months pregnant when we left the restaurant instead of four months.

I convinced Kev to take me to see the movie Twilight. This is one movie that he really didn't want to see. He only went to make me happy. I had to take a picture of him by the poster as proof that he really saw the movie. He surprised me at the end when he admitted that it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be.

Draper temple open house!!

We went to the temple open house today with my family. They had tickets and invited us to go with them. Kev took off early from work and Kenna from school. I am so glad that we had the opportunity to go. When I told Mckenna that we were going inside the temple she said, "but Mom I can't go inside because I am not old enough." She was very excited when I explained that today she could go inside because the temple was not dedicated yet. It was a wonderful experience for our kids to learn more about what goes on inside the temple. Halle loved pointing to all the pictures and saying Jesus. The ordinance rooms were beautiful with giant murals on the walls. My favorite room had a mural of aspen trees that were bright yellow with their fall colors. The furniture and style of the temple was more modern looking. The attention to details was beautiful from the windows to the door frames and walls. After you walk through the temple you end up at the adjacent stake center for cookies and drink. It was amazing how they transformed the gym to look and feel like a cozy family room.(notice the above picture) I tried to get a picture of the outside of the temple but I never really got a chance. It was a great experience and I recommend it for anyone. We didn't even have to wait at all because we went on a weekday.

Sixteen weeks!!

I had my sixteen week appointment yesterday. It was great to hear the babys heartbeat and know that everything is going good. I am finally starting to feel better and the nausea has gone away. I am showing now and started wearing maternity clothes about a week ago. It was fun getting all my clothes out. It seems like I have a whole new wardrobe to wear. The exciting news is that my ultrasound is scheduled for March 12th. So in a little over four weeks we will find out whether we are having a girl or boy!
