Hayden's 6th birthday!

Our Hayden turned six years old on Friday July 17th.  We had a fun day celebrating him.  It was even better because Kev had the day off as well.  Hayden and I went and got his birthday balloons.  He chose out a Thomas the train mylar one.

He wanted pizza for his birthday dinner.  We enjoyed eating out on our deck.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Grant came out for his party.  He didn't want to cooperate for a picture so Grandpa was tickling him.  We love to hear him giggle!

Hayden was excited to open up his presents.  He got some fun lego sets and a giant airplane glider.

Halle made him a card that was a train with tracks.  It was so creative and thoughtful.  Hayden loved it.

He also got the movie Big Hero 6.  When we took him to see it in the theater he was laughing almost the whole movie.

I made him Lego cake that said, "Everything is  Awesome!" I also put some lego figurines on the cake.

He got to work building his Lego couch and fire station.  

He went outside to try out his new wiggle car.  

He watched his new movie that night with his brother and sisters.  It was a fun end to the day!  We love our little firecracker!

Lagoon Day!

We had fun at Kev's company Lagoon day!  The past couple of years just Kev and I went.  This year we decided to take the whole family.  It was Addy and Hayden's first time.  We started off the day at the Sea Odyssey ride.  It became one of the kids favorites.  It is like the Dumbo ride at Disneyland but with water. 

Hayden and I took a selfie before the dragon ride.  We also took the whole family on the BomBora ride.  It was Addy's first roller coaster experience.  I thought she would be afraid but she loved it.  She even asked if we could go again.

We took the kids on some of the old classic rides like Tidal Wave.  All seven of us were able to sit in the back row together.

I took some of the kids on the swings.  It has always been one of my favorites.  I love the feeling of flying.

Hayden and Addy were so happy for the train ride.  It was fun seeing all the animals.  The white Siberian tiger was beautiful.

We went back to the pavilion to have lunch provided by Kev's company.  It was great because we could come by the soda machines throughout the day and get drinks.

The kids loved the space scrambler ride.  This is my favorite picture of the day.  Their facial expressions were classic as they got squished.

We rented a stroller for Addy for the day.  She was nice and let Hayden sit with her.

Kev and Parker got soaked on Rattlesnake rapids.  It was fun because it was another ride we could go on all together.

Halle was a sweet big sister and helped Addy on and off of the rides.

I took the oldest three on the Spider.  It was a first for all of them.  They liked the thrill of riding facing backwards.  Kenna and I were also able to go on Samurai later that day.  We had to wait an hour but it was worth it.  We were laughing when we saw the sign, "Don't lose your Sushi".

Addy loved riding the horsie on the carousel. Kev and I also rode with the kids.

We were having such a great time we stayed until ten.  Farmington was putting on a city firework show. It was cool to see the fireworks going off behind the white roller coaster.

We also enjoyed the firework show as we were driving home.  We had the perfect up close view from the sunroof of our car!

Grant family reunion!

We went up to the Reid Ranch for our annual Grant Family reunion.  I am so glad Grandpa and Grandma put this together each year.  It really keeps us close as extended family.  It rained a lot this year and even hailed.  But that didn't stop us from having fun.

We were so happy when our family from Washington pulled up in their truck.  Addy was happy to give cousin Austin hugs.  They are the cutest!

The highlight of the ranch for me was getting to meet my adorable niece Bailey Grace.  I waited three long months for a chance to hold her.  We all love her.  Her Uncle Kevin was smitten and also took time to hold her.

Grandpa Grant was a good Grandpa and let the girls paint his fingernails.  How many Grandpa's would do that!  It made me laugh every time I saw his nails.

Cousin Kyle is always a favorite at the ranch. He was tickling Addy in this picture.  He has his mission call to Africa and leaves in less than a month.  I was talking with Aunt Tracey about him leaving on his mission.  She kindly reminded me the next grandkids to go on a mission would be mine!  It was a little reality check for me that my kids are growing up fast!

Cousin Sadie was sweet to paint the grandkids faces. She does an awesome job too.  I think she sat in that chair painting faces for three hours.

Once it stopped raining we took Addy down to archery.  The kids always love archery.  Parker and Tucker even played during the rain storm.  The workers were nice enough to stay out there with them.

We had our family program.  We learned more about Grandpa Grants family history.  I learned that he served with the Navy. The kids were rewarded with candy bars and flashlights for answering questions correctly.

The next morning the kids enjoyed rocket launching with Uncle Bruce.  Uncle Steve said he would give 20 dollars for the rocket that landed in the bucket on the way down.  Hayden's rocket came closest.

Halle got to ride this giant horse which they called "Mr. Fred".  They have the greatest names for 

their horses.  My personal favorite was called, "Mr. Darcy"!

Mckenna was happy when she got put on the horse called Oreo.  She went for a ride with Grandpa and Liz.

The pool was freezing this year.  The heater had broken.  Parker was one of the few who braved the cold waters and swam.

Grandpa Ken helped the kids make harmonica's.  Aubrey is such a cute cousin to Addy.

Mckenna was happy to have her turn holding Bailey.  She has decided that we need to have another baby.

We took some Foster family pictures since all the cousins were together.  We missed Dan who was not able to come this year. It was good times with the family.

Celebrating the 4th!

We started the fourth by celebrating my Dad's birthday!

The day was even better because Grandma and Teenie were there to celebrate with us.  I love this picture of all the women in our family.

We had a fun time swimming in the pool together.

Grandma and Greg watching from the side.  The big news of the day was we got Greg to come in the pool with us.  He hadn't gone swimming with us in years.  He got in dog paddled for awhile and was ready to get out.

Later that night, we went over to my Grandparents house.  Grandpa had recently put the house up on the market and it sold in two days.  We were all sad since we have so many happy memories in their house.  I have lived their twice.  Once as a child and then later on I lived their when I was first married.  Aimee and I were in the sewing room going through some of Grandma's things.

It is a little unusual to be going through their belongings when both Grandpa and Grandma our still alive.  Aimee and I holding up some of our favorite clothing items of Grandma's.  Her velvet green robe and the beautiful suit that she sewed herself.

We had fun hanging out with cousins on the lawn until the fireworks started.  This has been a family tradition since I was a little girl.

I made some raspberry ice cream for us to enjoy.  Homemade ice cream always reminds me of the fourth.  Cole and Parker found "the best seat in the house" on top of the mailbox.

It made for a late night.  Addy fell asleep on my lap while watching.  I loved holding her close and watching the rest of the show.  Halle and Hadyen also fell asleep while watching.  I am sad that this was the last time watching the fireworks from my Grandparents house.
