We had an end of summer water party for the kids. I invited some of my friends and their kids over. It is nice that we have kids close to the same age that have so much fun together.

Hayden hanging out on the slide. He just wanted to hold on tight to his water balloon. He was very protective of it.
The kids couldn't wait to get their hands on all the water balloons. I thought it was funny that you can see the Moms in the background with their cameras ready to capture the action.

blessed to have such great friends! It was fun to have Robyn be able to come with her girls. She was here visiting from Nevada. We only get to see her a couple times of year.

popsicles. They are a big hit with all the kids. This
really is what summer is all about.
Parker and Mckenna had their first day of school today. Parker started first grade and was excited to be able to eat lunch at school and stay all day. He was happy when he found out that his best friend Ryker is in his class.
Here is a close up of my handsome toothless boy. He lost his front tooth just last week. It had been lose for quite a while. He loves to spit water through the new hole in his teeth.
Mckenna started fourth grade. She always enjoys school and was excited to go back.
She was a good sport about starting out at a new school and making new friends.
It is crazy to think that I have two kids in school all day. I have to admit it was nice to have just Halle and Hayden at home. Don't get me wrong, I missed Kenna and Parker it was just a little less chaotic at home today.
The kids walking up the street to the bus stop. It was Parker's first experience riding the bus. I was glad that Mckenna was there to help him get off and to his class. I offered to drive them since it was the first day but they insisted on riding the bus.
Here they are with their friends ready to get on the bus and start their adventure. Hayden was sad as the bus pulled away. I don't know if he was sad to see them go or if he felt left out because he didn't get to ride the bus. I think it was a little of both. Day one of school was a success!
